The aim of the BMBF funded project "Gyrolog - Setting up a digital gyroscope collection for historical and didactic research" is to digitize the unique gyros collection of the University of Stuttgart, its subsidiary collections at the Technical University of Munich and the JKU Linz as well as selected flanking objects to provide them for multidisciplinary scientific use.
The intention of the workshop at the beginning of Gyrolog is to present the project to potential users as well as to discuss user requirements and usage horizons of the project in detail.
