Welcome
to the Chair of Flight Measuring Technology

(former Chair of Adaptive Structures in Aerospce Engineering)

The chair sees itself as a scientific unit of applied mechanics, which derives its topics from questions of flight measurement technology. It forms an integrative link between measurement and control technology on the one hand and mechanical systems on the other hand. Methods of modeling, system theory, simulation and optimization are tools employeded, the duality of theory and experiment is a central methodological basis. In parallel, also interdisciplinary aspects are in the focus of the scientific work.

Our scientfic areas
  • Dynamics of mechanicals systems
  • Flight mechanics
  • Mechatronics
  • Gyro technology and inertial sensors
  • Estimation and identifikation
  • Sensor fusion
  • Navigation
  • Airborne astronomy
  • Biomechanics
  • History of technology
